Down by the sea

The beaches of Meragang, Muara and Serasa in the Brunei-Muara district were filled with people out to celebrate the coming of the new year last Tuesday night. A late night check on those spots found them full of revelers enjoying themselves camping, barbecueing and simply having a good time while welcoming the arrival of 2003 (pix above). Some Chinese, Ibans and Thais caroused in the warm waters of the South China Sea in the hope of washing away bad luck from themselves.
