Companies Chip In Towards
Temburong Flood Victims Fund

- Three private firms yesterday chipped in donations towards
the Temburong District Flood Victims Funds, bringing the total sum
raised to $537,435.68.
The donation handing over ceremony
was held at the Ministry of Home Affairs. Timbertech Sdn Bhd made a
$2,000 donation, while Arkitek Ibrahim offered $1,000, and Standard
Chartered Bank chipped in $2,000.

The fund was set up to pool
contributions from the private sector, government agencies,
non-government organisations and the public to ease the hardship of
the victims of the recent flood that hit Temburong District.
The flood was triggered by 14 hours
of continuous rain which started from the early evening of February
8.
Members of the public can make
their donations to the fund - which closes on March 1 - through the
Ministry of Home Affairs or the Temburong District Office.
