Brunei For SportsExcel Squash Tourney

Bandar Seri Begawan - Five Bruneians departed for Kuala Lumpur yesterday for the 1st Leg SportsExcel "Sukan Teras Junior Circuit" squash competition starting today till March 2.

The students who are all U-19 - Sheikh Mohd Dzulazmi Sheikh Hj Abd Mutalib, Lim Kok Hui, Abang Md Huzairie Abg Md Ali, Abang Md Safnan Abang Hj Kifrawi and Muhd Kamaluddin Hj Abu Bakar - have undergone intensive training under their coach, Pg Anak Hasnan Pg Anak Hj Rozanan in preparation for the competition.

"They trained for six months, four days a week with about four hours each training session," the coach said

He also said that this would mark the first time the students are competing in a regional competition and would provide them with some experience for the upcoming Sukan Malaysia (Sukma) in June.-- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
