Labi Jump-Starts Immersion
Programme For Students
By Hanni ABD
Bandar Seri
Begawan - To experience and broaden a student's outlook in
terms of socialising with other students and learning in a variety
of educational settings, the Student's Affairs Planning Programme
has recently embarked on its first Immersion Programme at the OKPB
Bukit Sawat Labi Primary School, which is located in the remote area
of Labi.
The programme involves temporarily
dispatching students to some schools in Kuala Belait and Seria for
several days.
The OKPB sent their students to
Chung Ching Middle School in Seria yesterday. While there, the
students were entertained with a lion dance performance in
observance of the Chinese New Year before proceeding to their
classes.
The programme is beneficial for
students from the remote areas to gain experience and soak in the
atmosphere of schools in the city that have more than 400 students.
The OKPB Bukit Sawat Labi Primary
School will implement the programme continuously considering that
the students have enjoyed the experience there by encouraging
competitiveness among the students. -- Courtesy of Borneo
