for stakeholders at the Civil Service Institute yesterday.
On hand to deliver the talk was
Acting Director of Planning Awang Abdul Amin bin Haji Hashim.
Prior to the talk, Acting Deputy
Permanent Secretary at the Prime Minister's Office Awang Haji Mumi
bin Haji Mohamed said the aim of the event "is to provide
information for all stakeholders in the implementation of the
national development plan as well as to ensure they understand the
content of the plan".
"It is also hoped that the
participants will provide feedbacks to improve the plan," he added.
Meanwhile, among the stakeholders
present were students from SayyidinaAli Secondary School Kuala
Betait, led by their teachers Miss Emisa Amiun and Cikgu Norlelawati

"It is indeed the concern of all
members of the society to take this opportunity to get involved in
the strengthening of the country and gaining a competitive edge
against other oil producing countries in Asean as well as the
world," said Miss Amiun.
She also said, "As an economics
tutor, I agree that this talk has allowed the students to obtain
information on the Brunei Darussalam Long-Term Development Plan."
Cikgu
Norlelawati, meanwhile, said, "The talk shows that the government is
really concerned about the development of the nation's economy,
which needs the involvement of all levels of society to fully
implement the long-term plan." -- Courtesy of Borneo
