First Series Of 6th RBAF JSC Opens

Bandar Seri Begawan - The first series of the 61h Royal Brunei Armed Forces Junior Staff Course (RBAF JSC) was launched yesterday at the School of Studies, Penanjong Garrison.

Present as the guest of honour at the opening ceremony was Royal Brunei Land Force Commander Colonel Pengiran Dato Paduka Haji Rosli Pengiran Haji Chuchu.

Also in attendance were RBAF Training Institute Commandant Colonel Hai Aminuddin Ihsan Pehin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka Haji Abidin, deputy service commanders and commandants, and other personnel at the RBAF.

Twenty officers from all services under the RBAF are participating in the two-month intensive training, designed to develop junior officers' knowledge, skills and attitude that are needed to meet their responsibilities as general staff officers.

Among the areas in the programme are: professional knowledge, leadership and management, communication, and operational planning.

The course is aligned with both current needs and development goals of the RBAF, focusing on functions that the officers have to perform, as opposed to what knowledge they have to gain, so as to meet professional standards. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
