Rizqun Hotel To Prepare Longest Pizza In Conjunction With N-Day

Bandar Seri Begawan - The Rizqun International Hotel will celebrate the 24th National Day by preparing the longest pizza on Feb 29.

The pizza will be launched by Dato Paduka Awg Hj Jemat bin Hj Ampal, the Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports at 2.30pm.

The brainchild behind the preparation of the pizza is Chef Zaliya Apindi Abu Bakar with his team of 18 pastry chefs led by Chef Badrol Hisham bin Mohd Ali.

The pizza will measure 258 feet in length and weigh 572 kg.

To accomplish this feat, 20 chefs will take 140 working hours to prepare the ingredients comprising 100kg of flour, 5kg of salt, 5kg of dry yeast, 60kg of tomato sauce, 40kg of onions, 40kg of mushroom, 40kg of each red and green capsicums, 40kg of chicken sausage, 40kg of chicken ham, 40 kg of garlic and 40kg of cheese.

It will also take six ovens to cook the pizza on the launching day. The pizza will have a horse drawn chariot as its prop and main feature.
