Brunei Arts, Handicraft Centre Holding Exhibition

Bandar Seri Begawan - The Brunei Arts and Handicraft Centre are currently holding an exhibition at its premises in Jalan Residency. Held for the third time, it aims to support a call made by the World Craft Council to organise such events annually in February and raise public awareness on local handicrafts.

The organiser has invited schools as well as members of the general public to come and visit the exhibition that showcases several local handicrafts and silverware produced by the centre's students.

Also taking part are local handicraft entrepreneurs 8 per cent of whom were former students of the centre. In addition, there is also a kite-making demonstration and purchases can be made at the event, which will run until tomorrow. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
