Briefing On Long-Term Development Planning

Bandar Seri Begawan - The Department of Economic Planning and Development of the Prime Minister's Office yesterday held a briefing on the National Vision 2035 Long-Term Development Planning.

Acting Permanent Secretary at the Prime Minister's Office Awg Hj Murni bin Hj Mohammad presented the briefing.

Awg Abd Amin bin Hj Hashim, Acting Director of the Department of Economic and Planning Department, elaborated on the programme.

Acting Tutong District Officer Awg Hj Haizul Rizal bin Hj Yahya delivered the opening remarks.

Also present were Orang Kaya Jaya Putera Dato Paduka Awg Hj Mohammad bin Hj Rauf, Ahli Mesyuarat Negara and 40 longhouse leaders, penghulus and ketua kampong in the Tutong District.

The briefing introduced and enlightened them on the current development and plans of the government, shared information and received feedback from the village chiefs and leaders, as the eyes, ears and voice of the government.

The event follows the launch of a recent book on the planned development of Brunei Darussalam until 2035, published in Malay and English.

There was a chart presentation and a question-and-answer session between the speakers and the penghulus, ketua kampongs and longhouse leaders. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
