Team Target First Away Victory
By Alex How
Bandar Seri
Begawan - Brunei DPMM FC continue in search of their first
away win when they take on Terengganu in the Malaysian Super League
at the Sultan Ismail Stadium tonight.
Fifth-placed Terengganu come into
the match with their newly-found form, beating UPB/MyTeam FC 3-1 at
MPJ Stadium last weekend. Terengganu's Gleisson de Souza's double in
the 831 and 87th minute secured all three points for the visitors.
Souza's teammate Zairo Anuar's first half penalty cancelled out UPB/MyTeam
FC early lead by Mijo Dadic.
Before the win, Terengganu were
struggling with their scoring form, registering a 1-1 draw with both
Perak at home and away in Negri Sembilan NAZA. The draws caused the
team to drop out of third place, now occupied by Perak with 28
points. Terengganu are now levelled with fourth-placed Perlis on 26
points.
Brunei DPMM FC, with only two wins
this season, will be without Victor Jaganathan who is suspended
after his red card against Selangor last weekend. Jaganathan
impressed the crowds with his performance in the previous match but
was unlucky to be sent off early in the match against Selangor.
Helmi Panjang will be back to occupy the right flank, while Azwan
Salleh will be on the left.
Abdul Wahab Mansor who had a great
night last weekend might retain his role in the midfield alongside
Hardi Bujang.
Without their injured skipper
Rosmin Khamis, the team will now look to Pg Sallehuddin Pg Hj Damit,
who took up the armband against Selangor. The experienced defender
has guarded the back four well before a breakthrough from Selangor's
Mohd Razman Roslan in the 69th minute.
Pg Sallehuddin will partner
Francois Mpessa in the central defensive role and will be flanked by
Haji Subhi Abdillah Bakir and Hasnawi Ismail. Brunei DPMM FC coach
lordan Stoykov might turn to left wingback Sairol Sahri should he
overcome his injuries in time.
While, Fadlin-Galawat, on the bench
last weekend, will be fit to face Terengganu alongside his strike
partner Mohd Shahrazen Said, while Mohd Wardun Yussof will remain in
goal.
Elsewhere, Pahang will take on
Perak, and Kedah will entertain Johor FC_ Perlis will host Negri
Sembilan, Sarawak will visit Pulau Pinang and PDRM (Polis) will take
on UPB/MyTeam FC.-- Courtesy of Borneo
