Bandar Seri Begawan - An intake of over 1,000 new Lower Six students, who will be pursuing their Sixth Form education during the 2008/ 2009 session at Maktab Duli Pengiran Muda Al-Muhtadee Billah in Gadong, yesterday received a warm welcome.

They attended an orientation programme with members of the college and with the theme of "Tunas Bangsa Teras Kemajuan Negara" in conjunction with the 241" National Day. It is said that youths are the nation's best assets to bring about developments.

In his speech, Principal Hj Muhd Masa Masdi Muhd Sa'idun highlighted the importance of looking after the college's good name and image, as well as for the students to comply with its outlined regulations in securing the safety and success of all.

Students must also respect one another, as it has been the college's culture since its establishment in 1979. The orientation will run for three more days, and among the activities lined up are tours, and briefings by the Students Council, Administration, ICT Group and Counselling Services. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
