Team Manggis Bersatu Spins To Victory

Bandar Seri Begawan - Manggis Bersatu Team emerged as champions in the final Abdul Hamid Top Spinning Trophy competition held at the Gelanggang Gasing Setenaga Sengkurong over the weekend.

Teams from villages, government departments and associations competed in the event, which saw Team Kg Tanjung Nangka and Team Sengkurong Bersatu emerging in second and third places respectively.

The contest was attended by Persekutuan Gasing Kebangsaan Brunei Darussalam (PERGAB) Advisor Pehin Dato Seri Ustaz Hj Abdul Hamid bin Bankal, PERGAB President Dato Paduka Hj Puspa bin OK Perwira Tudin, penghulus, village chiefs and enthusiasts.

In the 'Bergurau' category, Team Manggis Bersatu scored the best time of 58 minutes and 12 seconds, while Team Kg Tanjung Nangka pulled off a 55 minute and 11 seconds feat.  -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
