Preparing Tang Yuan For Chap Goh Mei Fest

Bandar Seri Begawan - The 15th day of the Chinese New Year, also known as Chap Goh Mei, is an important day for the Chinese community to eat special dumplings - Tang Yuan - for good luck, fortune and prosperity.

In conjunction with the auspicious day, the Chinese Department of Chung Hwa Middle School, BSB recently organised a get-together to share the secret recipe of making Tang Yuan with teachers from different ethnic backgrounds.

Teachers who participated left the event with a mouthful of scrumptious food and sweet memories of celebrating Chap Goh Mei with their Chinese friends. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
