35 Foreign Missions Join Briefing To Know Seameo Voctech Better

Bandar Seri Begawan - Some 35 foreign missions in the country were yesterday invited to attend a "Get Together and Know Us Better" briefing, organised by Seameo Voctech Regional Centre.

On hand to deliver the briefing was Seameo Voctech Regional Centre Director Mohamad bin Abu Bakar, who covered the organisation's missions, achievements, current programmes and future directors.

According to Mohamad, the centre has adhered to what the former Minister of Education has advocated - the programmes must not be of "mediocre results... but with quality and effectiveness".

He added, "Similarly, we have always been fervently in support of our current Minister of Education's noteworthy insight, asserting on continual improvement in the teaching-learning process for the sake of the BTET stakeholders."

In providing assistance to the community, Seameo Voctech in earlier years provided ICT materials production to three schools in the country and extended support to a village, where orientation was provided, leaders guided on conducting meetings, and teachers invited to participate in ICT courses for free. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
