Kedah stay two points ahead

Begawan - Kedah stay two points clear at the top of the
standings after a narrow 2-1 win in Sarawak in the 16th week of the
Malaysian Super League last weekend. Kedah are now on 34 points with
a game in hand.
Marlon James continued his superb
form, slotting in two goals in the 15th and 28th minute for Kedah
before Mohd Khalid Hamled pulled one back in the 77th minute.
Second-placed Selangor FA went home
with a 2-1 victory against Brunei DPMM FC at Hassanal Bolkiah
National Stadium. Brunei DPMM FC slipped to 11th place with 12
points, two places above the relegation zone after playing 14
matches.
Selangor
took the lead through a free kick from Indra Putra Mahayuddin after
two minutes of play. Brunei DPMM FC equalised with a header from
Haji Subhi Abdillah Bakir three minutes before Victor Jaganathan saw
red in the 18th minute. Mohd Razman Roslan scored the winner for the
visitors in the 69th minute.
Perak demolished PDRM (Polis) 5-1
at home to stay in third place with 28 points, while Pahang beat
Negri Sembilan Naza 3-2.
Terengganu are closely chasing
fourth-placed Perlis who lost to Johor FC 1-0 at Pasir Gudang, Johor.
Terengganu are now levelled with Perlis on 26 points after
Terengganu beat UPB/MyTeam FC 3-1 away at MPJ Stadium, Selangor.
Brunei DPMM FC will face Terengganu
