Lumut Liang Recreational Centre Starting Point For Belait Event

Kuala Belait - The Belia Cinta Tanah Air 2008 programme in Belait was launched at the Lumut Liang Recreational Centre. The event's chief guest who received national flags from the participating youths was Hj Abd Hamid Mumin, the Penghulu of Mukim Liang.

It began with participants marching for about a kilometre to the LLRC, led by members of the Brunei Darussalam Scooter Club and the Mukim Liang 3030 Scout Troupe Band. For safety reasons, they were guarded by RBPF personnel.

There was also a presentation for foster families. A lot of activities are organised for the youths during their stay in Mukim Liang, including a visit to the Brunei Forestry Department, attending an anti-drug talk, as well as taking part in some community work and a trip to BLNG. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
