Thanksgiving Ceremonies To Mark National Day

Bandar Seri Begawan - Several thanksgiving ceremonies were held at mosques and suraus throughout the country in conjunction with Brunei Darussalam's 24'h National Day.

The religious gatherings at all mosques and surau began with the mass Maghrib prayer and Sunat Hajat followed by the mass recital of Surah Yassin and thanksgiving prayer.

At Kg Tanah Jambu Mosque, the gathering was led by Hj Asar bin Hj, Berudin, its village chief while the recital of Surah Yassin and thanksgiving prayers were led by Imam Hj Amron bin Hj Awang.

Meanwhile, the thanksgiving ceremony at Kg Sg Besar Mosque in Mukim Mentiri was led by Imam Hj Shamsul bin Hj Abd Latif who also led the recitation of Surah Yassin and the thanksgiving prayer.

At Kg Salambigar Mosque, the ceremony began with the mass Maghrib prayers and Sunat Hajat. The recital of Surah Yassin and the thanksgiving prayers were led by Imam Pg Hj Ismail bin Pg Hj Tuah.

More than 200 worshipers turned up at the Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha (RIPAHS) Mosque in Kg Rimba, Gadong, for the thanksgiving ceremony. The mass Maghrib prayers and Sunat Hajat were led by Chief Imam Hj Mohd Afdzillah bin Hj Moh Yusoff.
