B.Mobile Contest Winners Relate Football Experience

Bandar Seri Begawan - The two lucky winners of b.mobile's BPL Quiz Competition who won tickets to watch a live football match in England shared their experiences with The Weekend yesterday.

Asri Ahad and Sofian Ahmad watched the highly anticipated Premier League matches among a crowd of boisterous British football fans.

"We went on a tour of London as well. Everything was paid for, including transport and accommodation -everything except our shopping expenses," said Asri.

"We never had the chance to watch a live match before and it was our first time," he added. "The Liverpool fans kept standing up. We had to stand for 45 minutes, too. It was very lively and the people there are crazy about football."

Security at Anfield Stadium was also fairly stringent. "It was very strict. There were security guards and cameras everywhere, monitoring or looking out for any troublemaker. One could not bring in any sharp objects, even video cameras or bottle caps off drinks."

"We were about 20 feet away and could get a clear view of everything," he said, adding that the atmosphere was very tense. "The football merchandise they had for sale was also amazing. It was overall a rare opportunity and we definitely made the most of it." -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
