By Aemy Azlena

Bandar Seri Begawan - Two female pilots of Royal Brunei Airlines have been invited to Queensland, Australia as guest speakers at the Sunshine Coast Business Women's Network breakfast in Novotel Twin Waters Resort on March 5, held in conjunction with the International Women's Day.

The pilots, Senior First Officer Sharifah Czarena Surainy Syed Haji Hashim and First Officer Dk Haryati Pengiran Abdul Rais, will deliver a talk on what led them to becoming pilots, how they set about achieving their goals and their experiences flying Brunei's national carrier.

"Royal Brunei Airlines is delighted that two of our female pilots will be speaking at the event," said RBA Chief Executive Officer Ray Sayer, adding that "Senior First Officer Sharifah and First Officer Dk Haryati are both fine examples of how RBA's Cadet Pilot Training Scheme provides opportunities for Bruneians to establish successful career in aviation".

In support of the upcoming event, RBA has contributed two return tickets to Brisbane along with three-night stay at the Empire Hotel and Country Club. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
