Pehin Lim Jock Seng Visits Iran

Bandar Seri Begawan - Brunei Darussalam and the Islamic Republic of Iran agreed to strengthen bilateral relations by identifying the potential areas of cooperation.

This was highlighted during the visit of Pehin Dato Seri Setia Lim Jock Seng, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade II, to Iran.

On Thursday, he attended a dinner hosted by Alireza Sheikh Attar, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, at the Institute of Political-and International Studies in Tehran.

Pehin Lim Jock Seng and Mr Alireza exchanged views on the regional and international issues.

The meeting was part of the programme arranged for the minister's four-day visit to Iran beginning Feb 21.

Also present during the meeting were Pg Hj Sahari Pg Hj Salleh, Brunei's Ambassador to the Islamic Republic of Iran, and officials at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
