Orientation Course On Brunei Laws At Philippine Embassy

Bandar Seri Begawan - The 4th basic orientation course on Brunei labour and immigration laws, workmen's compensation, and police functions and services will be conducted at the Philippine Embassy Chancery tomorrow and on March 2, it was announced yesterday.

Representatives of the Labour Department, Immigration Department, Royal Brunei Police Force, Sandhu and Co Law Office and Philippine Embassy officials will conduct the course from 1.30-5.30pm on the two Sundays.

The course aims to update overseas Filipino workers on Brunei laws and Philippine Embassy services on the relevant and prevailing rules and regulations for their protection, safety and welfare", the embassy said in a statement.

"It also provides an excellent opportunity for members of the Filipino community to personally interact and create dialogue with officials of the governments of Brunei Darussalam, Philippine Embassy and Arty Daljit Sandhu on various matters of interest to them and for their benefit," said PhilippineAmbassador to Brunei Virginia H Benavidez.
