Royal Brunei Malay Reserve Unit's
Military Cadets Mark 37th Anniversary

Begawan - The Royal Brunei Malay Reserve Unit's Military
Cadets celebrated their 37th Anniversary yesterday afternoon with a
thanksgiving ceremony at the Rimba Camp's dining hall.
The event's guest of honour was the
Commanding Officer of Royal Brunei Malay Reserve Unit, Lieutenant
Col Mohammad Ismaon Hj Zainie. Also present was Officer Commanding
of the Military Cadet Royal Brunei,Malay Reserve Unit, Major Pg Said
Pg Hj Mahmud.
The ceremony began with a mass
Maghrib prayer, followed by a reading of the Surah Yassin and tahlil.
To bless the anniversary, a doa kesyukuraan was also read by a
Religious Officer from the Ministry of Defence's Religious Section
Office, Ustaz Hj Jamaluddin Hj Lazim.
The Military Cadet Royal Brunei
Malay Reserve Unit was formed on January 1, 1971 and there are
currently around 500 military cadets from 22 secondary schools and
