Muara Beach Receives A Facelift
By Md Haslen

Bandar Seri Begawan - The government, through the Department of Environment, Recreation and Parks, is currently carrying out a project to beautify Muara Beach, in the hopes of attracting more visitors to the area.

According to Awang Aliman bin Haji Ahmad, the two-phase project includes the construction of a surau, an information centre, huts, seats, pedestrian paths and a road leading to the beach.

"Other facilities, such as changing rooms, will be built in four locations along the beach," he added.

Phase 1 recently reached completion, hence the availability of some of the new facilities in the area, he said.

Meanwhile, members of the public are called on to utilise the facilities with care.

They are also reminded to keep the area clean and to dispose rubbish at allocated areas. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
