35 Tutors Complete, Mobitel Training

Bandar Seri Begawan - Maktab Duli Pengiran Muda Al-Muhtadee Billah held a certificate presentation and sharing session at the school's VIP room for the participants of the Mobitel training programme.

Present as the guest of honour was Awg Hj Abd Rahim bin Derus, Assistant Director of ICT Department, Ministry of Education.

The Principal of Maktab Duli Pengiran Muda AlMuhtadee Billah Awg Hj Muhd Masa Masdi bin Muhd Sai'dun, made a welcoming speech.

Thirty-five tutors were involved in the two-day in house workshops held on February 11 and 12, organised by eight tutors from Maktab Duli Mobitel (Mobile Teaching and Learning) committee.

Hjh Roszaffna and Dk Hafsah headed the Mobitel tutors-facilitators. Assisting them were Halinah, Ali Syafie, Ilzam, Hjh Kartinah, Jenny and Hjh Norlinda.

The objective of the workshop was to familiarise the tutors with Macintosh computer environment and four iLife applications such as Comic Life, iWeb, iPhoto and iMovie.

Prior to the event 2,135 Apple laptops were distributed to all secondary schools including Sixth Form centres in the country following the implementation of the e-education project Mobile Teaching and Learning (Mobitel), which is part of the e-government initiative. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
