SCB Encourages Savings At Young
Age
Bandar Seri
Begawan - Standard Chartered Bank believes in encouraging
customers to save and accumulate wealth at an early age. Hence, the
My Dream Account product was launched in November 2005 to help
parents instil the good habit of savings in their children. Adults
who are young at heart with a soft spot for Disney related products
can also opt to open a My Dream Account.
To make the habit of saving money
more exciting, Standard Chartered is giving away limited edition
coin boxes to all My Dream Account holders who deposit $500.
Customers can opt to choose between
a cute green frog and an adorable blue hippo coin box. A maximum of
two coin boxes are allowed for each account. The coin box promotion
will end April 30, 2008.
In addition to the coin boxes,
starting a My Dream Account is easy with a minimal opening deposit
of only $50. The account also carries a unique savings passbook
which features the Magic Kingdom from Hong Kong Disneyland on its
cover and four designs for the passbook pages, from Adventure land,
Fantasyland, Main Street USA and Tomorrow land. Customers also get
to enjoy free auto funds transfer services, which are part and
parcel of having a My Dream Account.
"Saving money is a crucial part of
the growing stage for a child to learn about the importance of
money. With this product we aim to help parents, children and young
adults understand the concept of savings and to facilitate wealth
accumulation," stated Wealth Management General Manager, Ms Eng Siok
Tin.
"Customers will find this promotion
a fun way to encourage savings with their children to make their
dreams come true or simply for a rainy day."
