Pusat Ehsan Receives Donations From Syarikat Pembangunan Makmor Jaya

Bandar Seri Begawan - Pusat Ehsan yesterday received $2,820 in donation from Syarikat Pembangunan Makmor Jaya at a ceremony held at the centre in Bengkurong.

Present to handover the donation to Pusat Ehsan was Mr William Ngui Poh Fook, Manager of Syarikat Pembangunan Makmor Jaya and wife.

On hand to receive the donation on behalf of Pusat Ehsan was Haji Abd Hamid Maaruf, Head of Administration at Pusat Ehsan.

This was the first time the company had contributed to the centre and yesterday's donation was part of the company's social obligation to help charitable organisations such as Pusat Ehsan.

Syarikat Pembangunan Makmor Jaya is a registered company in Brunei dealing with housing development, contractors, design, planning and building as well as construction assessment.

According to Haji Abd Hamid Maaruf, the number of special needs individuals’ currently receiving education, training and rehabilitation services both physically and mentally has increased over the years at Pusat Ehsan.

As such, the centre has plans to expand further to accommodate more special needs students. Currently, there are 102 students undergoing various types of structured programmes at the centre.

"The donations coming in from members of the public are very much appreciated as it can help the centre expand and set up more quality programmes to accommodate more special needs individuals," said Haji Abd Harnid Maaruf.

The centre is grateful for the generosity and noble gesture of organisations such as Syarikat Pembangunan Makmor Jaya and welcomes members of the public, companies and organisations to make donations to the centre.  -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
