Development Ministry Quiz Winners Awarded Prizes

Bandar Seri Begawan - More than 200 quiz enthusiasts took part in the Customer Day quiz organised by the Ministry of Development, which concluded yesterday.

The Permanent Secretary at the Ministry, (Administration and Finance) Hj Mohd Rozan Dato Paduka Awang Hj Yunus, gave away the prizes to 16 winners selected by the quiz committee.

The presentation ceremony was attended by the Deputy Permanent Secretary, officers of the ministry and departments under the ministry.

The quiz was held during the Customer Day organised by agencies under the ministry which was visited by hundreds of people throughout the week.

Among the prizes that were presented to the winners included DVD players, bread toasters, television set, rice cookers and deep fryers.

The customer day was held by the ministry recently in a hid to further enhance its services to the public and give the opportunities to visitors such as a variety of free services by the Land Department, whose mission is to provide registration, administration and management of land for the socioeconomic security of the country. The customer day also provided opportunity to visitors to clarify their land ownership.

The other purpose of the customer day was to receive feedback from landowners on the enforcement of compulsory land taxes every year and to encourage them to make the payments on time. -- Courtesy of The Brunei Times
