Bandar Seri
Begawan - Students who wish to apply to one of the top three
universities in Australia are invited to meet with Aleksandr
Voninski from the University ofNew South Wales (UNSW), Australia,
today between 5pm and 8pm at the Business Centre, Ground Floor,
Centrepoint Hotel in Gadong.
UNSW
is one of Australia's leading international universities and has a
world-renowned reputation for its strengths in teaching and
research.
Mr Voninski will be giving information on UNSW's range of
programmes available through its faculties of Arts and Social
Science, Built Environment, Commerce and Economics, Engineering,
Law, Fine Arts, Medicine and Science.
Students are advised to bring their
latest academic qualifications and all supporting documents for
eligibility assessment and evaluation of an appropriate field of
study when meeting with Mr Voninski.
UNSW
attracts leading academics and researchers from around the world,
providing a vibrant and dynamic study environment. Entry to
programmes at UNSW is competitive and is based on academic merit.
The university also offers a range
of one or two year postgraduate coursework programmes, as well as
two-year postgraduate research and PhD programmes.
UNSW
is consistently ranked as one of Australia's leading research
institutions, including key areas such as quantum computing,
photovoltaics, science, commerce, law and engineering. The
university has been achieving one of the highest levels of five star
ratings in the Good Universities Guide over the past five
consecutive years. It is a member of the prestigious Group of Eight,
a consortium of Australia's leading research universities, and
Universitas 21, an international alliance of 20 leading universities
in 11 countries.
Programmes at UNSW are constantly realigned to
bring them in line with the requirements of industry. The Bachelor
of Architecture programme, for example, is now replaced by a new
Bachelor of Architectural Computing, which focuses on the thoughtful
and creative application of digital technologies to enhance the
design professions and improve the quality of the built environment.
UNSW was founded to provide
leadership in Science, Engineering and Technology. It has recently
amalgamated with some of the top institutions to widen its academic
profile. The College of Fine Arts is a national leader in the field
of teaching and research in art, design and multi media, art history
and theory and art education. COFA is the only art college in
Australia to offer the traditional options of Painting, Drawing and
Sculpture alongside cutting-edge courses in Time Based Art, Digital
Animation, Film & Video and Design (including Jewellery and
Textiles) in addition to Art Education and Art History & Theory
(including Art Administration).
Located near the business hub of
Australia’s largest city, Sydney, UNSW is a popular choice among
Bruneians. The university receives Brunei government scholars, as
well as scholars from large international organisations based in
