Flag-hoisting rehearsal

A full dress rehearsal to hoist a giant Brunei national flag to mark the start of the 24th Brunei Darussalam National Day celebration was held yesterday at the open area of Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah. The Minister of Culture, Youth and Sport, Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Dewa Major General (Rtd) Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Awang Mohammad bin Hj Daud, witnessed the rehearsal, which was held to fine-tune the proceedings. On February 10, twenty-one Royal Brunei Navy personnel will march to the grounds and hoist the giant national flag after receiving it from the Minister of Culture, Youth and Sport. Members of the public are welcome to witness the auspicious event at the open area of Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah from 8am this Sunday.
