AH United In Semifinals

Begawan - A goal from Md Akmal Hakim bin Abd Hamid on 63rd
minute against Jerudong FC was enough to secure AH United a place in
the Brunei DST Group League Cup semifinals at the JBS field last
night.

Samak, the coach of AH United said after the game: "We were lucky to
walk away with a win. Jerudong FC was on the offensive all the time
but they couldn't find any finishing."
"I also want to praise my players
who have worked hard to hit a goal past the stubborn Jerudong FC
defence. The players have matured a lot since the start of the
season."
Both Premier I teams wasted a
number of clear-cut goal scoring chances in the first half. AR
United came close to taking the lead on 31st minute when captain Ak
Asrul Asydnee Pg Sahdon's effort was saved by goalkeeperAbdul Hafz
Hj Mursadi.
On the other side of the pitch,
Jerudong FC almost put their fans into a frenzy when Muhd Arif Ali
Rahman's attempt was saved by goalkeeper Muhd Ali Hanapiyah Hj Md
Noor.
Minutes before the break, AH United
have another chance to break the deadlock but Mohd Helmi Zambin
couldn't finished off his speedy dribble into the penalty box and
hit the ball straight to the hands of Jerudong FC goalkeeper.
After the interval, Jerudong FC
almost went ahead when Jasni Nasri flicked the ball to Muhd Azwan
Ali Rahman who hit the ball wide to the right side of the goalpost
on 53rd minute.
Ten minutes later, AH United
perfectly executed a counter attack move. In the lightning attack,
Radiman Abd Rahman was able to get the ball from midfield and
supplied a pinpoint pass to Md Akmal Hakim who then hit a powerful
drive into the back of Jerudong FC's net.
AH United will either meet QAF FC
or Brunei Shell FT in the semifinals. QAF FC and Brunei Shell FT
