Lion Dance Enlivens Joint Birthday Celebration

Bandar Seri Begawan - Nineteen boys and girls from Pusat Bahagia celebrated their birthdays yesterday in a joint event held at the town's centre along with their families and friends.

The birthday celebration involved those who were born in January and February.

Present as the guest of honour was Hj Jahali Suhaili, the Deputy Controller of Pension, who awarded the trophies and prizes to winners of last year's Bocce competition.

To enliven the festivities, a number of performances were carried out including a signing performance by students of Pusat Bahagia, as well as a Lion Dance rendered by Chung Hwa Middle School, both of which received standing ovations from the crowd. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
