Eye-Catching Packaging Boosts
Chances Of Sale
By Azaraimy HH
Bandar Seri
Begawan - If delivered with the right package, Brunei
Darussalam's halal food products will have the potential to reach
global markets.
Esa
Amin, the Head of Marketing & Strategic Alliance Division of Glohex
Consulting Group, believes that halal food products made in the
Sultanate have the right ingredients for success.
He was part of a delegation from
GLOHEX, a consulting group that will be opening the first integrated
halal retail store in Malacca called 'HalMart'.
He stressed on the need for product
packaging to be attractive and appealing.
If new products are lined
on the shelves of supermarkets with other brands, shoppers may not
think about trying the new products because they will be shopping on
"autopilot mode" and would normally just buy the brands that they
are used to.
Packaging a product the right way
entails much more than just creating a box or package to put your
products in.
Gone are the days of the box acting
as only a protective shipping container.
The box today is a "retail"
salesperson, as it is expected to provide shoppers with all the
necessary information to help them make an informed decision.
In other words, the packaging is a
"silent salesperson".
Esa
told the Bulletin that Halmart, which is expected to open its first
chain in Malacca, would be able to help design packaging for Brunei
products. -- Courtesy of Borneo
