Sheraton Utama All Set To Usher In
Lunar New Year
Bandar Seri
Begawan - The origin of the Chinese New Year is itself
centuries old - in fact too old to actually be traced. It is
popularly recognised as the Spring Festival and celebrations last up
to 15 days.
The eve of the New Year is perhaps
the most exciting part of the event, as anticipation creeps in.
Here, traditions and rituals are very carefully observed in
everything from clothing to food.
With the Chinese New Year just
around the corner, Sheraton Utama Hotel is set to usher in the New
Year with luck and prosperity by maintaining the traditional values
of the festivity.
The hotel lobby is now decorated with bright red
lanterns with a masterpiece display in the centre. The centred
masterpiece holds gold coins, mandarin oranges and other Chinese New
Year decorative items.
Sheraton Utama will be having a
Chinese New Year's Eve reunion dinner on Feb 6, which will feature a
creative mix of Chinese cuisine. Diners can also opt for a Chinese
New Year High Tea or Dinner Feast which will be held on Feb 7 at
Tasek Brasserie.
Dinner buffets are priced at $35
per person subject to 10% service charge and will start from 6.30pm
whereas the High Tea is priced at $16 person subject to 10% service
charge. -- Courtesy of Borneo
