54 Complete Religious Guidance
Course

Begawan - A Total of 54 participants were presented
certificates during the concluding ceremony of the Fiqh At-Thaharah
course, organised by the Courses and Women Guidance Division
yesterday.
Twenty-three male and 31 female
participants, consisting of government officials in the fourth and
fifth divisions, as well as 16 participants from Majlis Ta'lim
attended the annual course for the division, which took place at the
Islamic Da'wah Centre in Kampong Pulaie.
The guest of honour, the Acting
Assistant Director of the Islamic Da'wah Centre, Ustaz Hj Zaidin Hj
Ibrahim, gave away the certificates to the participants.
The course, which highlighted the
issue of cleanliness, discussed topics including, Air dan Najis,
Bersiwak, Istinja, Qadha Hajat, Najis, Mandi and Hadas. Other two
topics were Wudhu and Tayammum which covered theory and practicals.
The topics discussed during the
course are expected to enhance further religious knowledge,
especially in matters relating to Thaharah. At the same time, the
practicals have been aimed at improving the procedures of ablution.
In an attempt to encourage and
motivate the participants, the Courses Unit presented books
published by it to the participants who have achieved excellent
results in the tests held at the end of the course.
Noor Rasyidah Umar of the Economic
Planning and Development Department, who scored 100 per cent in the
test, received a book as a prize. In male category, Sufri Besar of
the Department of Civil Aviation topped by scoring 95 per cent. The
participants expressed their appreciation to the teachers who helped
them throughout the course and recommended that the duration of the
