Youth And Sport Department To Impart Life Saving Skills To Youth

Bandar Seri Begawan - The Youth and Sport Department, through the Youth branch of Brunei-Muara District, will be organising a leadership and training program on basic life saving skills in water to be held at the Swimming pool of Pusat Belia from March 23 to 25, 2008.

The aim of the programme is to help provide early emergency assistance in cases such as drowning in a river or pool. Methods of saving life in water, as well as to develop the mindset of youth, will also be undertaken.

Eligible participants must be 15 to 25 years old and must be citizens and permanent residents of Brunei Darussalam. Interested participants must be in good health.

The programme can only accommodate 30 persons and participants. For those who are under the age of 18 will need to get permission from their parents.
