Sultan Names New Princess

Bandar Seri Begawan - By command of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah lbni Al-Marhum Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Penggawa Laila Bentara Istiadat Diraja Dalam lstana Pengiran Haji Alauddin bin Pengiran Paduka Tuan Pengiran Haji Abu Bakar, The Grand Chamberlain, has announced that His Majesty the Sultan with great pleasure has bestowed upon his newborn daughter who was born on Monday, 19 Muharram, 1429 corresponding to January 28, 2008 at 4.21 p.m. the name, Her Royal Highness Princess Ameerah Wardatul Bolkiah binti Kebawah Duli Yang Maha Mulia Paduka Seri Baginda Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah.

A statement from Istana Nurul Iman stated, His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam and Her Royal Highness Pengiran Isteri Azrinaz Mazhar binti Hakim Mazhar as well as members of His Majesty's family, are pleased to extend their thanks to all who sent messages of congratulations and best wishes on the occasion of the birth of His Majesty's daughter.
