PWM To Award Exemplar Students At
Lunar NY Celebration

Begawan - Persatuan Warganegara Malaysia is set to hold its
Chinese New Year celebration dinner on March 1 with the presentation
ofAcademic Excellence Awards to all Malaysian students in Brunei to
be held at the Plenary Hall of the International Convention Centre.
It was revealed in a press
conference yesterday, hosted by the committee members of the
celebration held at the Stadium restaurant, that Malaysian students
studying in the country who have achieved remarkable academic
results in 2007 would be given these awards as part of welcoming the
Lunar new year.
For the past four years since 2003,
the Association has awarded a total of 1295 students for gaining
excellent results. Each year, the number of recipients ranges from
260 to 360 students. Parents have expressed their gratitude and
support for the programme.
The award application is open to
students from primary one to upper secondary six. Last day for the
application is on February 16, 2008.
