Sharing The Joy Of Chinese New Year With Other

Bandar Seri Begawan - A Lion was seen dancing in Jerudong on Sunday, February 25, at the Chinese New Year `open house' of local resident John Chia and his family. Guests at the reception were enthralled by the stunts as the prancing `lion' strived to retrieve the many money-filled "ang-pows" (red packets) and vegetables positioned in hard-to-reach places around the house.

By having the "open house", Mr Chia and his family endeavoured to share the joy of the Chinese New Year with their relatives, and friends of different races and creeds. Present at the "open house" were the Minister of Culture, Youth & Sports, Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Dewa Maj-Gen (rtd) Dato Seri Pahlawan Hj Mohammad Hj Daud and his wife, as well as other distinguished guests. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
