Carniva D'IGS To Hone Business Skills

Bandar Seri Begawan - D'IGS College business students are organising the Carnival D'IGS to promote entrepreneurism from March 2-4 in Setia Kenangan complex, behind the BIDB Bank building in Kiulap. It aims to help young entrepreneurs sharpen their business skills, and eventually play a key role in the development of the national economy.

It is also part of the business course to further the students' studies at the National Diploma level.

The "Clique Event Management' students led by project team leader Jamalarippin Jini B. Arippin, have come up with the idea of the three-day fun filled family event, a press release said.

There will be live band performances by up-and-coming Bruneian musicians. Scheduled to appear are "Kizuni", a session band; "Rizcrew", a semi professional outfit; the IGS House Band and others. Daily performances are scheduled at 5-6pm and 8-9pm.

The carnival will be open from 2pm 10pm on Friday and Saturday, and from loam to 10pm on Sunday.

There will be games, food and drinks, and for children, colouring contests, clowns and balloons. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
