Coop Holds Annual General Meeting

Bandar Seri Begawan - The Kampong Sungai Teraban Cooperative with Tanggungan Berhad held its second annual general meeting recently.

The meeting clarified accounts, profits distribution, heard suggestions and approved the cooperative's suggested budget for this year, the Board of Directors allowance, future plans and the appointment of new board members and internal auditor.

The Koperasi Peladang petrol station (KPKST) website was launched by Belait District Special Duties Officer Awang Haji Such Rizal bin Haji Abdul Mali.

He urged cooperative members to increase their efforts to improve the country's economy.

The Chairman of Kampong Sungai Teraban Peladang Cooperative, Awang Mohd Mersidi bin Haji Mohd Shara, said the building of Koperasi Peladang petrol station (KPKST) in the Kampong indicates progress and advancement in the economic standard among residents of Kampong Sungai Teraban.

KPKST petrol station made history with the delivery of its first oil from BSP to the station on August 3, 2002. It had been awarded as an exemplary petrol station (RMS) in 2003, placed third in 2004 and earned first place in 2005.

The achievements were reached through cooperation and close understanding given to administrative board directors, station managers and others, attending courses conducted by BINA and visits to foreign countries. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
