New Taipei Economic & Cultural Office To Open Soon

Bandar Seri Begawan - On March 1, the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office (TECO) will be resuming operations at its new address - No.18, Simpang 80-11, Kg Pengkalan Gadong, Km 4, Jalan Gadong, BE 3919.

According to a press release from TECO, the closure of the office last March had caused much inconvenience to Bruneians who had no choice but to apply for visas to visit the country in either Kuala Lumpur or Singapore.

In light of this, the authorities concerned in Taiwan decided to resume consular functions in the Sultanate.

Mr Shaw-Wu Yu, the new representative of TECRO arrived in the country last month with his wife.

Mr Yu. has served as a high-ranking government official in Taiwan for more than 30 years and has worked in a number of foreign countries.

The new office will be open from 8.30am to 12.30pm and 1.30pm to 5.30pm (Mondays to Fridays).
