International RC Drivers Impressed With Performance Of Locals

Bandar Seri Begawan - RC drivers from Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore who took part in the two-day "1/10 Nitro Brunei Open Championship 2007" remote control car race over the weekend were impressed with the performance of local drivers such as Wirawan Hamidoon and Jason Lim. The race, which was held in conjunction with the 100 years of Bandar development on land, took place at Jubilee Park.

It was organised by PEMKAR and co-organised by the Municipal Board.

Present as guest of honour was PEMKAR's former general secretary, Hj Suparto Sauji.

Wirawan was crowned as the champion in Category a (main), while Fayakhun from Indonesia and Jason Lim came in second and third respectively.

In Category B (main), first place went to Ong, while Suhaimi Salam and Abid Hidayat were second and third respectively.

Hj Hady was the champion in Category C (main). Hj Idzhar Rahmadi and Ah Pau were ranked second and third respectively. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
