Appointment Of New Perm And Deputy Perm Sec

Bandar Seri Begawan - His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam has consented to appoint Haji Awang Mohd Mahdi bin Pehin Orang Kaya Digadong Seri Diraja Dato Laila Utama Haji Awang Abdul Rabman, Ambassador of Brunei Darussalam to Vietnam as Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Home Affairs.

A press release from the Prime Minister's Office yesterday also said that His Majesty has consented to appoint Awang Haji Mahmud bin Haji Mohd Daud, Director of Information Technology and State Store, Department of Information Technology and State Store, Ministry of Finance as Deputy Permanent Secretary at the Prime Minister's Office.

Both appointments will be effective from today, 8th of Safar 1428 corresponding to February 26, 2007, the press release added. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
