Parents' Role In Helping Children

Bandar Seri Begawan - Parents should guide their children in their studies and give moral support to educational activities, said Awg Ali Yusri Hj Abd Ghapor, Education Officer from the Counselling and Work Talent Guidance Section.

Parents must also have tolerance, positive thinking and be role models, he said during a talk for parents of primary six students at the Rimba Primary School.

Principal Cikgu Nudin Hj Mohammad talked on the improvement and rise in the percentage of PSR passes in the school for the past few years.

Last year the school achieved 88.29% in the PSR examinations, which exceeded the school's targeted percentage of 85%, he said. He hopes this year the PSR outcome will at least achieve 90% passes.
