1,500 Mini Flags For Temburong

- This year, a total of 1,500 mini national flags has been
allocated for Temburong District, with the handing-over ceremony
held in front of the Temburong District Office yesterday.
Donning yellow t-shirts and black
caps, the 23rd National Day Sponsorship working committee led by
co-secretary Pg Haji Manshor bin Pg Haji Jaya who is also head of
the Mini flags distribution, set out to distribute and hand over the
mini national flags in Temburong.
The mini flags were presented by Pg
Hj Manshor to Assistant Temburong District Ollicer, Matusin bin
Orang Kaya Sura Haji Tuba who also presented the flags to penghulus
and heads of villages in the district.
The chief guest and the sponsorship
working committee also installed the flags onto government vehicles
and later toured around Bangar town.
A total of 1,000 mini flags for
vehicles were given to the Temburong District Office and 500 to the
penghulus and village heads in the respective mukims in the
district.
The delegation of the Sponsorship
Working Committee comprises Hj Jamain bin Momin, Assistant Brunei-Muara
District Officer, cosecretary sponsorship working committee Haji Awg
Ghazali bin Pehin Jawatan Dalam Seri Maharaja Dato Dr Hj Mohd Jamil
Al Sufri, Assistant co-secretaries Hj Suhaimin Hj Abas and Pg Hj
Othman bin Pg Anak Hashim, Supt Ranee Hj Othman, working committee,
Mr Lim Tiong Tin, Mr Lee Nyuk On, Ang Ping Hui and Ampuan Haji
Salleh.
Present at the ceremony were heads
of government department branches in the district.
A total of 30,000 mini-flags were
distributed nationwide in conjunction with this year's 23`d national
day celebration - an increase of 5,000 from last year.
The distribution of the mini flags
is meant to light up the spirit of patriotism among the people of
Brunei Darussalam and instill a sense of celebration.
A similar ceremony was also held in
Tutong District yesterday by another group of the Sponsorship
working committee.
Hence, more flags will be
fluttering on more cars on the roads throughout the celebration.
The mini flags will be attached to
the vehicles until at least February 26, when the giant national
