Pertiwi Holds Thanksgiving Ceremony

Bandar Seri Begawan - More than 50 members from Pertiwi and recent haj pilgrims recently attended a Hijrah 1428 celebration and thanksgiving prayers at Jame Asr Hassanil Bolkiah, Kg Kiarong.

Present as the guest of honour at the ceremony was Datin Hjh Hasiah bte POKPS Dato Paduka Hj Hashim, wife of the Minister of Development. The event began with a recitation of the surah al-Fatihah and was followed by welcoming remarks by the chairman of the ceremony, Datin Paduka Hjh Jusnani bte Hj Lawie.

During the event, guests also saw a nasyid performance, a special religious speech by Ustaz Hj Sammali bin Hj Adam and a zikir performance for members of Pertiwi's haj pilgrims. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
