Minfin Announces 5th Issuance Of Sukuk Al-Ijarah Securities

Bandar Seri Begawan - With the consent of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, the Ministry of Finance (MinFin) announced the successful pricing of its fifth issuance of short-term SukukAl-Ijarah securities.

The B$90-million issue that carries a maturity period of 91 days begins on February 15, 2007 and matures on May 17, 2007, at a rental rate of 3.150 per cent.

The latest issuance of short-term Sukuk Al-Ijarah securities is the fifth of its kind by the Brunei Government following its successful maiden offering on April 6, 2006. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
