And to entertain the guests, an
orchestra from the International School of Brunei will fill the air
with delightful music. The Dorchester Hotel's assistant manager at
The Promenade, David Leitch and its pastry chef Vjaceslavs
Rozenbergs have also flown in to ensure the authenticity and success
of the event.

delightful treats for a fulfilling afternoon will include finger
sandwiches of cucumber and cream cheese, egg mayonnaise with tomato
and shisocress, chicken with wholegrain mustard mayonnaise, and
smoked salmon and cream cheese as well as the Dorchester's famous
warm home-made scones with clotted cream and homemade preserves, and
a selection of French pastries.
Tea lovers will also be indulging
in Dorchester's very own blends of tea. Varieties such as The

bags, all of which will be on display at the Lobby Lounge.
The Dorchester in London is famed
for its afternoon tea and was named as London's Top Afternoon Tea
venue by the Tea Council of Great Britain in 2000 and 2002. In
addition, The Dorchester also bagged the Association of Pastry Chefs
award in 1997 for Best Tea Pastries. Traditionally, Afternoon Tea at
The Dorchester is served at The Promenade, a lobby on the ground
floor of the hotel.
The affair would begin with savoury
finger sandwiches followed by warm scones served with strawberry jam
and clotted cream and a platter of cakes and tartlets accompanied by
more than 20 choices of tea.
Guests at the Dorchester Afternoon
Tea will have the chance to win a trip for two to London on board
Royal Brunei Airlines to enjoy a stay at The Dorchester Hotel.
The Dorchester Afternoon Tea is
priced at $25 per person.
Meanwhile on February 21, a special
cake decorating class will be held at the hotel. The class - at $40
per person - is inclusive of afternoon tea. -- Courtesy of Borneo
