Opening, AGM Of Koperkasa

Bandar Seri Begawan - THE Sultanate's newest cooperative, Koperasi Perusahaan dan Perniagaan Kebangsaan Bhd (Koperkasa), after an opening ceremony held its first Annual General Meeting (AGM) Monday morning in Jerudong, where members voted to register the organisation with Brunei Industrial Development Berhad (Bina).

It was chaired by Hj Abd Kassim Hj Safar.

The cooperative's advisor and guest of honour Mahmud Morshidi Othman, congratulated the business organisation for their preparations and solid groundwork.

He said that such a body has proven successful and effective in countries like Malaysia and Africa in boosting the national economic growth and eradicating poverty.

In today's competitive markets, businesses needed to constantly reassess their position, as well as build on basic technical skills and knowledge, he added. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
