PMO, CFK Automation Sign IT Agreement

Bandar Seri Begawan - A Contract signing ceremony for "Supply, Delivery, Installation, Testing, Commissioning and Training IT Infrastructure Facilities" between the Strategic Studies Unit of the Prime Minister's Office and CFK Automation Sdn Bhd was held yesterday at the Centre for Strategic and Policy Studies (CSPS) Building in Gadong.

Under the project, the company will supply IT facilities such as servers and notebook computers, printers and latest Microsoft software, as well as software training.

This also includes a portal system, electronic filing, document and project management, administrative processes and collaboration tools.

Signing on behalf of the Prime Minister's Office were two senior officers, Zainal Abidin bin Tinggal and Dr Joseph Check, while representing CFK Automation Sdn Bhd was its managing director, Awang Jeffrey King, and project engineer, Muhammad Yusrin Dr Hj Muhammad Hadi.

The project is part of the government's initiative to modernise the administrative system. It also advocates the ministry's awareness that IT proficiency is necessary and important towards implementing e-Government. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
